Places to Swim in and around Salta

There are also two rivers near Salta you can swim in. One is the Vaqueros river. Click on the pic below for more info.
There is a nice pool right across the street from the bus terminal. Perfect for hopping in after a long, dirty bus ride or while you have a few hours to kill waiting for your bus.
Here is the pool. As of Dec 2006 it cost 5 pesos to enter.

There are two ways to get there. One is to look for this shop and then look next door or ask people how to get to the Club Mitre Pileta (pool). There is a little door which leads to the pool, but the pool isn't visible so it might not look like there is really a pool there, but there is!

The other way is to go around to the other side of the block where you see this when you get to the right place:

From the terminal look for these apartment buildings

Then go down the street which is on the left and looks like this:

Just go about a half block and you see this. Go down that street just a few feet and you will easily see the big sign for the club.
